Wildlife Bash-Every year we host our popular "Wildlife Bash" this event is a unique opportunity to meet the local conservation and wildlife groups in your area, while also having the chance to interact with various species of animal ambassadors. Learn about how to successfully coexist with Florida's native species in a interactive and hands on setting.
Book Folding classesare held multiple times a year, this is a fun way to learn about how to reuse your old unwanted books. All books used are one previously in a trash pile from local libraries. These classes are a way to teach about recycling/reuse while also disrupting books from being sent to the landfill.
Outreach events- SLC attends many outreach events year round hosted by local partners. At these events we offer educational materials, games, and have items for sale to help fund our free school programs.
Every year we set up at the Spring garden festival and host a kids crafting area where children and adults can paint plant pots or garden rocks. We also will have pollinator displays and items for sale.
Paradise Plants and Palms Offered a native plant special for our event. Promoting and growing natives is so important in mainting healthy ecosystems in Florida.
The Wildlife BAsh has been our staple event for the past three years. This is a great resource for all ages in our community. Thank you to everyone who comes year after year supporting the impactful organizations trying to make a change!
